Tag 3 ) Bimmah Sinkhole & Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve
* Bimmah Sinkhole
* Wadi Tiwi
* Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve
Today, we drive through the spectacular rugged landscape to Hawiyat Najim Park, where the Bimmah Sinkhole is located—a picturesque sinkhole formed by limestone erosion. The turquoise water is an excellent stop for wading with your feet. We spend a few minutes here before continuing to Wadi Tiwi. Known as the Wadi with nine villages, it features emerald-green pools and dense date palm plantations. Visit the local plantations while your guide explains the various types of dates grown in this area. Next, head to Ras al Jinz for the evening.
This evening, we make our way to the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve. The easternmost point of the Arabian Peninsula is a significant nesting site for the endangered green sea turtle. Over 20,000 females return annually to the beach where they hatched to lay eggs. Our excursion tonight is conducted in collaboration with the Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve and Research Centre by their experienced guides. The area is protected by the government, and the only way to see the turtles is by participating in this tour. Upon arrival at the center, you will be informed whether the activity will proceed or not. This is a reserve, and the turtles are not in captivity, so it depends on Mother Nature whether there will be turtles to see or not. On most nights, there are at least one or two turtles, and between July and September, there are many more. We don't want to disappoint you, but there is a possibility that the tour may not proceed. In this case, your guide will inform our office, and an alternative activity will be arranged during your tour.Overnight stay at the hotel in Sur.

Tag 4 ) Wahiba sand desert
* Dhow Factory
* Wadi Bani Khalid
* Wahiba Sands Desert
* Fin Persian Garden
After breakfast, we make a stop in Sur, a significant city with a maritime history in Oman. Sur has long been known for its tradition of building dhows. These powerful ships have been a crucial part of Omani culture and trade over the years, even though the demand is lower today. Sur is now relatively quiet, allowing you to stroll through traditional markets surrounded by Omanis in their typical national dress. Visit one of the dhow factories to witness the construction of these massive dhows, and a local worker will join you, explaining the making of the dhow, the materials used, and the time required for shipbuilding. Then, proceed to the palm-fringed Wadi Bani Khalid. The drive to Wadi Bani Khalid takes you through the Eastern Hajar Mountains, providing a panoramic view of the landscape. After visiting the wadi, you can optionally have lunch and then continue to your destination for today – Wahiba Sands.
Wahiba Sands is characterized by vast dunes, some reaching up to 150 meters in height, stretching as far as the eye can see – a beautiful yet barren desert landscape. Named after the Wahba tribe, the region is home to Bedouins who manage to eke out a living around the few oases.
Enjoy a thrilling dune drive as you traverse the sand to reach your desert camp. Along the way, visit a Bedouin family and learn more about their nomadic life and traditions while sipping Omani coffee. A sunset over the dunes in the desert is not to be missed. Tonight, savor an evening of traditional music as you dine by an open fire under the starlit sky.Overnight camp in the Wahiba Desert.

Tag 5 ) Nizwa
* Jabrin Castle
* Nizwa Fortress
Enjoy a leisurely morning at the camp. Then, get back into your vehicle and continue to Nizwa. Stop en route at Birkat Al Mawz to explore the falaj system – an ancient irrigation system. Then, head over to Jabrin Castle, considered one of the most beautiful and picturesque castles in the country. Often referred to as Jabrin Fort, it is indeed a castle, designed as a residence with beautifully carved wooden doors and intricate lattice windows. After the visit, proceed to Nizwa. Your accommodation tonight is a historic stay in the Old Town of Nizwa. We contribute to preserving these typically old Omani buildings by staying here, as part of the local government's initiative to preserve Omani culture.
Then, enjoy some free time in Nizwa. Nizwa Fortress, with its massive round cannon tower, making it one of the most impressive forts in Oman, is definitely worth a visit. The huge tower was built on a solid rock base and was designed to withstand the vibrations of 24 cannons. From the top, you have a magnificent view over Nizwa and the surrounding plains – a true delight for all enthusiastic photographers!Overnight stay at the hotel in Nizwa.
